These beautiful, hand painted and decorated earrings are made from local Loch Ryan shells. Decorated in a pale green and pink rose pattern with liquid gold painted shell and detailing, using hypoallergenic findings. Unique and unusual earrings, handcrafted with love in south west Scotland.

These stunning oyster shells come from the shores of Loch Ryan in the south west of Scotland, next to the town of Stranraer. One of the largest and oldest natural oyster beds in Scotland, dating back to 1701, it is at the heart of conservation methods around the world. The oyster shells are repurposed, washed, painted then decoupaged by hand before being hand finished with gold leaf (or silver leaf, etc., depending on the design). Each one is, by its nature, unique. A stunning gift to take away from a beautiful part of the world.
